Bubbles, Knots and Canvas

The first ArtsNordica exhibition in 2010 features Swedish Artist Elisabeth Johansson and is arranged in Örebro, 30 Jan - 5 Feb.

Elisabeth Johansson has previously taken part in ArtsNordica exchange projects Love Protection and Sustainable Love (see above picture, Love Protection 2007, quilts by Elisabeth Johansson and Anneli Linder). Now she shows her art at Kapitän in a solo exhibition.

Bubbles, Knots and Canvas - Artist introduction
The bubbles represent a structure of wool fabric that is woven of fur wool yarn, woven and post-treated with soap and water.

Canvas is a binding with broken pattern that occur frequently in curtains or as foundation material to embroider covering embroidery on. Here, I have used the binding of coarse linen for small carpets.

knots which are so fun to make, I have made of wool, paper- and plastic cords for carpets and decorations.

After Feb. 5, the exhibition will hang until Feb. 25 when it is open according to agreement (call 019-125780) or "when we are here". Visits for small groups are also possible according agreement.
