Swedish Summer 2010: Yu Xun and the Log Book
April 26. Yu Xun, Västra Götaland Watercolor Museum Artist in Residence 2010, arrives in Mariannelund to start planning her exhibition there this summer. She is returning to China on Thursday, April 29.
Mariannelund will also see another long anticipated exhibition this summer: “Kitchen Events” (Händelser i kök), by the former log-book artists.
The Log Book project, realized 2004-05, consisted of five female artists in Sweden versus China who sent art log books to each other, sharing their respective worlds and lives. The result was exhibitions in both countries. Their reunion this summer has been a dream for a long time.
During the summer, an installation by a young, promising Chinese artist from Chengdu will also be exhibited at Mariannelund, connected to "Kitchen Events"
